    What kind of glue did you first spray on the cardboard?

    • @fauxrock
      @fauxrock 18 часов назад

      The glue is the same glue that we put in the mixture when we make our cement. It’s just an acrylic glue. Thanks for watching my video.

    Your videos are great! As somebody who has always wanted to make a ton of stuff out of concrete and hasn't had the space before but does now - it'd be really helpful to have clear instructions about what is in each mud mix you're using throughout each video, even if it's just in the notes after :D Don't stop making these, they're so helpful!

    So, are the panels actual stone? How heavy are they?

    • @fauxrock
      @fauxrock 11 дней назад

      No, the panels are made with a fiber reinforced cement, using a mold they look very realistic. And it weighs about 3 to 6 pounds a square foot depending on the type of rock that we make.

    • @fauxrock
      @fauxrock 16 дней назад

      I utilize many different formulations for my Cement mixes, depending on the application. Due to the fact that I have a lot of RUclips viewers that will not ever participate with me as a paying customer I generally use a mortar mix that I buy premix from Lowe’s or Home Depot, which was the case in this video. There are many performance enhancements to increase characteristics that can be applied or formulated.. if you’re interested further you can always give me a call to discuss my services 971-237-2957. @fauxrock 18 дней назад

      I’ve actually designed blinds before using our tree panel molds and also I did a rock version of it as well. Both were segmented for easy transport and easy to assemble and very durable lightweight. I did this about 10 years ago, but the project never came into fruition. It’s always been something I wanted to mass produce, as I believe there would be a huge potential. Thanks for watching my video.

    This may be a dumb question but I do a lot of volunteer work in my county with feral cat colonies. I'm also very much a "tinker" at heart and love stuff like this. I was thinking of trying to create a large hollow "boulder" that would ultimately be placed over their outdoor shelters (they are about 2.5 feet tall) with 2 or 3 arched openings about 5 inches tall/wide for them to be able to get in and out. It would help keep their homes disguised and extra coverage from weather elements. Do you think that's something I could "create"? Thanks so much for any thoughts/opinions! I really appreciate it!

    • @fauxrock
      @fauxrock Месяц назад

      Thanks for taking the time to watch my video… Yes, this would work well for your application… after the rock was built, you could insulate the inside of the rock with spray foam, or you could just build the rock with Styrofoam and then carve out the inside leaving enough Styrofoam left to make good insulation.
